  • Seedling size Cattleya in 2"pot. The picture above showing a classic Cattleya Schilleriana. Cattleya Schilleriana is a rare, compact orchid native to Brazil's Bahia state. Highly prized for its glossy sheen and fragrance, it features 4-inch waxy, -spotted flowers and a distinct fuchsia-lined lip. Because it originates as a lithophyte and epiphyte, it does best mounted on hardwood or potted in very well-draining, chunky media.
  • The plants you buying are Cattleya Schilleriana var. sanderiana
  • The sanderiana variety boasts deeper, richer chocolate-brown to maroon petals and sepals, heavily contrasted by a striking magenta and white striped lip. The standard species can range in color but is typically lighter.

Prefers bright, filtered light and warm-to-intermediate temperatures. Requires heavy watering during the hot summer growing season, followed by a dry winter rest. Roots must dry out thoroughly between waterings.
